Tooling costs

Tooling costs will depend mainly on the manufacturing method chosen. Because the range of methods is so great, it is not possible to define tooling costs. However, examination of the section "How are composites manufactured?" will indicate the RELATIVE costs, ranging from very simple tooling for hand lay-up to the precision finished tooling which may be required for injection molding and pultrusion.
