For large volume production of parts generally with a constant cross section, pultrusion can be a very cost-effective and high speed process. In pultrusion, reinforcements saturated with resin are pulled through a heated die in the shape of the profile to be manufactured. It is, however, only suitable for the production of lengths of constant cross-section component. It requires equipment costing several times more than the other processes described above.
