Interlaminar
fracture, or delamination, continues to be one of the more
serious failure modes for laminated composite structures.
Delaminaton arises from high out of plane loads where there
are no fibres to resist these loads. Delamination can occur
from tensile, shear loads, or a combination of the two. Several
methods to characterise delamination have been developed which
include.
