Resins do not tend to be harmful to the respiratory system but the solvents and curing agents that are used with the resin can be. When using resins it is important to avoid contact with either the skin or eyes, therefore adequate protection should be worn, i.e. gloves, goggles, long sleeves.

Each resin type may have specific requirements:

  Epoxy View Section
  Polyurethane View Section
  Phenol-formaldehyde View Section
  Urea-formaldehyde View Section
  Polyether and polyester polyols View Section
  Thermoplastic Resins View Section
