User induced damage

There are two levels of user induced damage, those that occur during handling and installation and those due to abuse or unexpected events in-service or simply reaching the end of useful service life through normal use. These damage types must be identified during an inspection schedule using appropriate inspection methods.

In service damage my include:

• Cracking - (stress or environmental)
• Delamination
• Fibre Buckling
• Pitting/etching
• Softening
• Discoloration
• Charring
• Wear, abrasion and erosion
• Impact
